Stripping Chippewa Campsite
The first campsite in the five-year refurbishment plan was cleared of every platform in the autumn, with an Order of the Arrow crew finishing the job.

Chippewa is the first of five campsites in the refurbishment plan, and the first step was taking it back to nothing.
Friends of Camp Mack members stripped the site of its platforms through the autumn. A group from the Order of the Arrow — Scouting America finished the work in September.
Everything came out except the latrine.
What comes next
Site work begins in early spring once the ground has thawed enough to smooth the area, pull stumps, and position the new platforms properly. Platform construction runs through the winter so that placement can start the moment the site is ready.
