Green Metal Roofs on Hyman and Swarr
Four days of tear-off and re-roofing on Hyman Pavilion and Swarr Lodge — the first two buildings in a long-term plan to put every roof at camp under green metal.

Shingles do not last at camp. They are replaced, they fail again, and the cycle costs money and weekends indefinitely. Metal roofing breaks the cycle.
With funding from the Pennsylvania Dutch Council, members of Friends of Camp Mack, Scouts, the Hammer Creek Hunt Club and local businesses spent four days stripping the shingle roofs off Hyman Pavilion and Swarr Lodge and replacing them with new green metal.
The long-term aim
Every roof at camp under a green metal roof. Two buildings down.
These are labor-intensive projects and they only happen because a lot of people give up whole days for them. Thanks to everyone who climbed up there.
